RobuReach
Email Marketing Platform
A unified marketing platform designed for African businesses — combining email campaigns, automation, social media, and AI-powered tools in one naira-priced platform.
One platform.
No more jumping between tools.
RobuReach is an all-in-one marketing platform built for African businesses. It replaces the fragmented stack of email, social, automation, and analytics tools with a single, unified workspace.
The average small business uses 5-8 separate tools to manage their marketing. This creates data silos, workflow friction, and cost inefficiency. RobuReach consolidates everything into one platform — with naira pricing that makes sense for the local market.
Goals
- Unify email, social, and automation in a single interface
- Make campaign creation accessible to non-technical users
- Build deliverability infrastructure with automated warm-up
- Price in naira — removing dollar volatility for African businesses
Marketing is broken
for African businesses.
Global marketing platforms charge in dollars, assume Western workflows, and offer little support for the specific needs of businesses operating in African markets.
Fragmented Tools
Businesses jump between 5-8 separate platforms for email, social, automation, lead gen, and analytics — creating workflow chaos and data silos.
Complex Automation
Traditional automation builders overwhelm beginners with nodes, triggers, and conditions. Most users abandon before completing their first workflow.
Weak Deliverability
Users struggle with inbox placement. Without built-in warm-up and reputation management, emails land in spam regardless of content quality.
Poor Audience Management
Segmentation often requires multiple tools or custom code. Basic lists without tagging or grouping make targeted campaigns impossible.
Understanding the landscape
before building.
I analysed 8 platforms across four tiers — global leaders (Mailchimp), regional players (Brevo), niche tools (MailerLite), and emerging competitors (Instantly). The goal was to identify gaps, patterns, and opportunities.

Key Research Insights
- Mailchimp — Gold standard for UI but priced out of African markets. No warm-up, no naira support.
- Brevo — Strong transactionals but weak automation UI. Social media integration feels bolted on.
- MailerLite — Simple and fast but missing AI, warm-up, and social. Best for beginners, limiting for growth.
- Instantly — Excellent warm-up but email-only. No campaigns, no analytics, no audience management.

Why RobuReach exists
and who it serves.
RobuReach is positioned as the unified marketing platform for African businesses — combining email, automation, social, and AI tools at a naira price point that competitors cannot match.
Three users.
Three different needs.
Research revealed three distinct user archetypes. Each has different goals, pain points, and definitions of success.
Grow newsletter from 0 to 10k subscribers in 6 months. Automate welcome sequences without hiring a developer.
Mailchimp is too expensive at scale. Free tiers limit audience size. Needs affordable naira pricing.
Simple automation, AI-powered content, affordable flat-rate pricing.
Send abandoned cart emails, product recommendations, and seasonal campaigns to a segmented audience of 50k.
Current platform doesn't integrate with his e-commerce stack. Segmentation requires manual CSV uploads.
Native e-commerce integrations, dynamic product blocks, automated behavioral triggers.
Run community email campaigns for a DAO. Track engagement per wallet address without exposing private data.
Traditional ESPs don't understand wallet-based identities. Needs privacy-first analytics.
Custom fields for wallet addresses, privacy-compliant tracking, API-first architecture.
Every screen mapped.
Every flow planned.
Before designing a single pixel, I mapped the full sitemap — covering every screen, section, and navigation path. This ensured the IA was complete before visual design began.
From signup to
first campaign sent.
The first campaign journey defines the user's entire perception of the product. Every step was designed to reduce friction and build confidence.
Dashboard.
Clarity at a glance.
Problem
Users need immediate clarity on campaign performance, audience health, and deliverability — without digging through menus.
Solution
An action-oriented dashboard surfaces revenue, audience growth, campaign health, and AI-powered suggestions in a single view.

One-click access to campaign creation, audience import, and form builder
Open rates, click rates, and bounce rates compared against previous period
Subscriber growth chart with opt-in and opt-out rates over time
Smart recommendations for re-engagement campaigns and content optimization

Campaign Creation Flow
Email Editor.
Simplicity by design.
Design Goals
Content blocks replace complex HTML editing. Drag to arrange, click to edit — no coding required.
Editor layout mirrors document editors users already know. Sidebar for tools, canvas for content.
Custom HTML block for developers. Pre-built templates for beginners. Rich text for everyone.
Real-time desktop and mobile preview as you edit
Drag-and-drop text, image, button, divider, and video blocks
Background color, padding, border — per-block customization
AI Campaign Builder.
Assistive, not autonomous.
The AI flow lets users describe their campaign goal in natural language. AI generates the copy, subject line, and suggested send-time — but the user always reviews and refines before sending.

Lead Flow
Email Warm-up.
Deliverability by default.
The Problem
New sending domains have no reputation. Without warm-up, emails land in spam regardless of content. Most platforms leave this as a manual, technical process.
The Solution
Automated warm-up gradually increases sending volume while monitoring reputation signals. Users connect their domain — the system handles the rest.
Warm-up Flow
Progress Tracker
Each phase gradually increases daily send volume while monitoring bounce rates, spam complaints, and engagement signals. The system auto-adjusts if reputation drops.
Automation.
Visual workflows. No code.

Analytics.
Data that drives decisions.
Consistent tokens.
Coherent product.
A comprehensive design system ensures visual consistency across every feature — from campaign builder to analytics dashboard.
Every screen.
Every device.
Every feature comes from
a deliberate choice.
These are the non-obvious decisions that shaped RobuReach — grounded in research, validated by users.
Why not drag-and-drop forms?
A simplified form creator with pre-built templates reduced complexity and improved setup speed. Users reported 3x faster form creation compared to drag-and-drop alternatives.
Why automate warm-up?
Users care about deliverability outcomes, not configuration. Automated warm-up handles reputation building silently — users just connect their domain and we handle the rest.
Why integrate social marketing?
Businesses increasingly operate across channels. A unified campaign view across email and social reduces context switching and gives marketers a single source of truth.
Why naira pricing with a free tier?
A free plan (500 subscribers, unlimited emails) lets users experience deliverability and ease of use before upgrading. Features-limited, not time-limited — no artificial urgency.

What I learned
building RobuReach.
Every product teaches something new. Here is what I would carry forward into the next project.
User testing revealed the real priority
Early users didn't want more features — they wanted deliverability guarantees. This shifted the roadmap to prioritize warm-up and reputation tools before visual polish.
AI should assist, not replace
The AI campaign builder was initially designed to be fully autonomous. User testing showed marketers wanted control over final output. We pivoted to an assistive model where AI drafts, humans refine.
Naira pricing is a product decision
Pricing in naira at ₦5,000/month (vs $15+ for Mailchimp) isn't just about affordability — it signals that the product is built for the local market. This builds trust faster than any feature.
Progressive disclosure reduces abandonment
The campaign builder originally showed all options at once. Testing revealed decision paralysis. We simplified to a step-by-step flow, cutting campaign creation time by 40%.
What comes next.
